OHOW is the only free-standing hospital in the region fully dedicated to orthopaedic care, performing over 10,000 procedures each year. More people come to us because they not only believe in the quality of our work, but also expect a superior experience with unmatched results. Our satisfied, active and recovered patients are the proof.

WE’LL DO ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING WE CAN TO SET YOUR MIND AT EASE.

Pre-surgery anxiety is completely natural.

Here is how we help:

  • We believe it’s important for you to have the opportunity to speak to your anesthesiologist, surgeon and nurses—ask questions, voice thoughts and concerns. Our Pre-Op approach provides ample opportunities for you to do just that.
  • We know that anesthesia is a frequent cause of Pre-Op anxiety and that you may have many questions and concerns. We work with you in the days leading up to your surgery to answer your questions and help put your mind at ease.
  • Every detail of our Pre-Op area is designed to maximize your comfort before surgery. Our patients tell us that this calming environment—and their conversations with our specialists before a procedure—makes a difference. Our patients walk to surgery.
Unless you have a medical condition that prevents you from doing so, you will walk with the nurses to the operating room. It may seem like a small point, but it is part of our healthy patient philosophy where you are part of the team and the focus of our care. Each of our patients is introduced to the surgical staff once you arrive in the operating room.
